Sergeant 1st Class Lee Jongchang died Oct. 12, 1969 in Phuoc Thanh(CQ 079680), from wounds caused by a booby trap explosion during an ambush action. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit Hwarang. He was buried at 02-5-2800 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetry.
