Sergeant Yoo wontaek died Apr. 28, 1971 in Phu Cat, Cat Hanh, Nui Voc Cat(BR 755613), from wounds caused by an enemy’s booby trap explosion during Operation Tiger 16. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit Inheon. He was buried at 03-3-3634 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetery.
