Sergeant Sim Myeongguk died Aug. 16, 1971 in Tay Son, Tay Giang, Nui Ngang(BR 703416), from wounds caused by a claymore explosion during a military operation. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit a Commendation for bravery. He was buried at 03-3-3756 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetery.

Staff Sergeant Choi Gi’ik died Apr. 13, 1972 in Tay Son, Tay Giang, Nui Ngang(BR 576436), from wounds caused by an enemy’s shell explosion during a search action. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit Hwarang. He was buried at 03-1-4030 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetery.
