Sergeant Choi Dongsik was born in Jungheung-dong, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do, Sep. 23, 1948. He was assigned to Search Company, Armor Regiment troops, Tiger Division and was dispatched to Vietnam; stationed in the area of Binh Dinh Province.
Sergeant Choi Dongsik died Apr. 12, 1972 in Tay Son, Phu Phong(BR 584443), from wounds caused by an enemy’s sniper shooting during a search operation. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit Hwarang. He was buried at 03-1-4009 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetery.

Sergeant 1st Class Lim Heongyun died Apr. 12, 1972 in Tay Son, Phu Phong(BR 584443), from wounds caused by an enemy’s sniper shooting during a search operation. He was buried at 03-1-4015 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetery.

Sergeant Kim Yeonggeol died Apr. 24, 1972 in Tay Son, Deo south of An Khe, area of 638 hill(BR 177449), from wounds caused by an enemy’s sniper shooting during Operation Beongae 24. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit Hwarang. He was buried at 03-1-4092 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetery.

Corporal Yoo Namsu died Apr. 24, 1972 in Tay Son, Deo south of An Khe, area of 638 hill(BR 177449), from wounds caused by an enemy’s sniper shooting during Operation Beongae 24. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit Hwarang. He was buried at 03-1-4067 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetery.

Staff Sergeant Hwang Namyong Was killed May. 20, 1972 in Tay Son, Phu Phong, fduring a military operation. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit Hwarang. He was buried at 03-1-3997 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetery.
