Sergeant 1st Class Nam Gideok died Oct. 2, 1966 at a mountaineous area of Phu Cat(CR 060532), from wounds caused by small arms fire serving during Operation Tlger 6. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit Hwarang. He was buried at 48-1-391 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetry.
