Captain Kwon Hyeoksoo died Aug. 5, 1972 in Phuoc Thanh, Nam Tang(BR 775455), from wounds caused by a grenade explosion during an ambush action. He was awarded the Military Merit Medal. He was buried at 03-5-297 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetry.
