Sergeant Jang Jiyeon died Jul. 11, 1969 in Phu Cat, Loc Khanh valley (B.Q 957612), from wounds caused by small arms fire during a search action. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit Hwarang. He was buried at 19-2-2642 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetry.

Sergeant Seong Wolyong was born in Bokgokmaeul, Simok-ri, Jigok-myeon, Hanyang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, Sep. 1, 1947. He was assigned to Reconnaissance Company, 26th Regiment, Tiger Division and was dispatched to Vietnam; stationed in the area of Binh Dinh Province.
