Staff Sergeant Oh Taehwan died Sep. 24, 1966, at Phu Cat airport, from wounds caused by small arms fire during a military action. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit Inheon. He was buried at 48-1-387 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetry.
