Sergeant 1st Class Seong Hwanmok died Jun. 2, 1969 in Phu Cat, Cat Minh(BR 569867), from wounds caused by a booby trap explosion during a military action. He was awarded the Order of Military Merit Inheon. He was buried at 19-1-2552 graveyard in Seoul National Cemetry.
